This Aspen Style Fountain Pen has a snap cap and is made of Buckeye Burl Wood. It has a German Iridium nib and a medium point. The ink comes in with a cartridge refill but can be upgraded to a piston plunger for a small additional charge. The piston plunger allows you to refill from an ink bottle giving you a virtually unlimited supply of ink. We still recommend cartridges for travel because they are move convenient to carry and will not leak. This fountain pen can be converted into a roller ball pen.
