This Americana Style Fountain Pen has a screw cap, is made of Cocobolo Wood and has Rhodium Trim. Rhodium is part of the Platinum family and is very durable and beautiful. It has a German Iridium nib and a medium point. The ink comes with a cartridge refill but can be upgraded to a piston converter for a small additional charge. The converter allows you to refill from an ink bottle giving you a virtually unlimited supply of ink. We still recommend cartridges for travel because they are move convenient to carry and will not leak. This fountain pen can not be converted into a roller ball but the roller ball can be ordered separately (SKU 1225-RHRB) and priced to make a set in SKU 1225-RHSS).
